A report of an attempt by the Dominicans to establish a mission in Guinea. The manuscript begins with the departure of the mission from La Rochelle in August 1687, arriving in Guinea in November. What follows is a detailed account, with entries on an almost weekly basis, of the mission's establishment and the difficulties in accomplishing their goals. Conflicts with the Dutch are mentioned. The report covers the work of the mission through March 23, 1688, at which time it was sent back to Cloche.
